linux下载make install出错，怎么办?

linux下载make install出错，解决办法：
# 执行下列命令:

$ tar jxvf scim-python-${version}.tar.bz2 

$ cd scim-python-${version} 

$ ./configure --prefix=/usr 

$ make 

$ sudo make install

# 重新登录桌面系统。 

但是当我执行到make命令是提示： 

[root@localhost scim-python-0.1.13rc1]# make
make: *** 没有指明目标并且找不到 makefile。 停止。
