and so on 在句中的位置是在哪里？使用时需要用逗号隔开吗？etc。怎么用？（最好有例句）

两者基本上是一样的用法，都用在诸多列举项目之后，加不加逗号与前面的选项分开都可以。但都不能用在句首。

比如：
This area has a high incidence of crime, disease, unemployment, etc.（etc加逗号）
This area has a high incidence of crime, disease, unemployment etc.（etc不加逗号）
“这个地区的犯罪率、发病率、失业率等很高。”

用and so on 来表达：
This area has a high incidence of crime, disease, unemployment, and so on.（and so on加逗号）
This area has a high incidence of crime, disease, unemployment and so on.（and so on不加逗号）

不一定放在完整一句的句尾，但是至少是分句的句尾。
比如:If one talks about food,clothes,drink and so on,he may be more concentrated on daily life.
这不算整个句子的句尾，但在第一个分句子中是句尾。

and so on不能放在句首，前面都必须用逗号和前句隔开。
etc.的用法与and so on基本一致，放在句中其后也需要加“.”。
例句：There are lots of things to buy-tea, sugar,bread, etc.(and so on.)
