第一句的句子不完整，只有从句。另外whom是指代人的，指代物体应当用which。正确的结构应该是: The solutio of the potential problems that people nowadays are facing, such as energy deficiency, are very likely to be found outside the earth.

第二句也不完整，a sort of肯定还有个词。而且element是单数，后面不能用are，只能用is。正确的结构应该是: The scientists have already discovered a sort of element that is expected to serve as the prospective source of energy in the future.
